Welcome to the Salt Mine!
There have been several excavations of the Salt Mine. In its first run, 2000-2004, The Salt Mine began life as a website but quickly segued into an online magazine, presenting photography, short fiction, poems and criticism. It was a blog before its time and when it became evident that converting the mine into a blog would be a lot less work and more fun that’s what happened: It became a blog in 2008.
You can find the Salt Mine blog at www.markpowerblog.com.
Meanwhile, you’re at another passage into the mine, this website which I present various bodies of my work as a photographer. I’ve been at it a long time so there’s a lot of work. But the ore mined here is a selection, not a comprehensive presentation. For example, I’ve done a lot of work with text and images which are difficult to show adequately on a website. So that work will have to wait for yet another excavation of the mine.
Thanks for spending time in the Mine and I welcome any comments, pro or con, you might have.
